Melodica: dreams drifting

Chris Coco’s award winning weekly radio broadcast. An eclectic selection of brilliant new music starting with house and moving on to electronica, downtempo, acoustic and all sorts of other styles loosely connected to dance and electronic music. Let tastemaker Chris Coco guide you through his selection of the week’s best new music.

This episode… Slow dreams drifting in a sunlit bay somewhere off the coast of you and me. We are the ripples in the water, we are the starlight in each others eyes, we are the music. We are the beat of the drum and the lap of the waves, we are the marimba and the bass guitar. We are floating in the bay and not floating in the bay. We are Melodica.

The Circle: Adrian Crowley

Brought to you by Arctic Circle Radio, the Circle takes you on a one-hour journey based on the most simple and significant of shapes. Every Circle is unique; formed from a guest curator’s musical landscape and they all share the same revolutionary quality: each one ends at the point where it began.

Edition 64 – Adrian Crowley – “I have chosen some music that has followed me and kept me company on my travels around Europe these past two years. A lot of that time I spent alone and whenever I was able to relax and not worry about missing my connecting train or flight, I’d put on my headphones and watch the hi-speed view from my forward facing window seat. Sometimes I’d record a few clips of where I was for a moment in time…mostly train stations, I’ll grant you ….and people talking and well, the sound of trains. You can hear some of those sounds here but you may have to listen closely.”
